| The EAM annual meeting is a high point in the year for many of us. A chance to share our research, hear about new ideas and projects, socialize with old and new friends, formulate new initiatives, and to sustain this important community. But the sharing within this community drops to near zero for many of us during the rest of the year. If we extended the community sharing throughout the year we could create institutional as well as individual linkages to advance our profession and the careers of individuals. | |
| The Center for Human Resource Management Studies (CHRMS) at Fairleigh Dickinson U. has developed strong business relationships and has taken several initiatives to create openings for collaborative research. We have used the EAM meetings to share CHRMS relationships and activities. We now are extending that collaboration with our EAM colleagues by inviting faculty from regional universities to attend some of our activities and to join in a dialogue about our applied research opportunities. The intent is to create an ongoing community of research/practice. | |
