An Invitation To Costa Rica
Costa Rica was named by Christopher Columbus in 1502. San Jose is the cosmopolitan capital and transport hub of the country. It is located within the rolling green hills of the Central Valley where the climate is mild and springlike year-round. As such, there is a large diplomatic and international business presence, an abundance of innovative restaurants serving a variety of international cuisines, and a number of cultural sites to visit. You will fly into Juan Santamaria International Airport located near the city of Alajuela, about 20 minutes from downtown San Jose and take the free Marriott shuttle to the hotel, a short drive from the airport.
