Innovation and Imagination
Your research and teaching innovations open minds to new ways to consider the challenges and opportunities facing our world. How will businesses and universities be creative to increase innovation and imagination within their existing systems and processes? How can we be more creative in our research ideas, samples, etc.? How do we creatively and effectively teach new and upcoming generations? What are your novel ideas related to experiential learning?
Join us in Baltimore, MD for the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Eastern Academy of Management as we explore these questions and many others that ground our research, teaching, learning, and service.
We welcome submissions on all management topics. Submissions on this theme may explore a wide range of topics, such as:
- Using engagement, transformation, and the imagination to enhance creativity and innovation in business and higher education - including management functions such as leadership, entrepreneurship, and hospitality, for example.
- Cross-disciplinary approaches to creativity, innovation, and actioning ideas - including collaborations between business schools and other academic departments or community partners
- The purpose, benefits, limitations, risks, and new opportunities and challenges of innovation tools such as AI technologies, hybrid or remote work environments, or other technological factors affecting our research, scholarship, and businesses
- The role of imagination, creativity, and innovation in teaching our future generations – this includes but is not limited to new and imaginative experiential exercises or teaching methods regarding new technology
- The challenges and trade-offs involved in balancing innovation and trends with sustainability, social responsibility, and financial performance
| Join us in the heart of downtown Baltimore with convenient access to some of the city’s favorite attractions. One block from the conference hotel, you can catch an Orioles game at Camden Yards or practice your golf swing at the TopGolf, one mile away. The hotel is also a short distance to the historic Federal Hill, Fort McHenry, the National Aquarium, and a variety of museums - including the American Visionary Art Museum and the Railroad Museum. Also one mile away is the Horseshoe Casino, Charm City Clue Room, and Charm City Food Tours. On a beautiful day, you can also take a stroll on the harbor!
