Deadline for Submission: January 19, 2026

Why Participate?

At the CASE Association, we foster high quality case research, writing, instruction, and publication to promote the appreciation of cases as respected intellectual contributions. By contributing your case or idea, you will benefit from valuable feedback and guidance from supportive colleagues and seasoned case authors. We welcome submissions from all disciplines and experience levels. Through our vibrant professional network, we elevate the work of case researchers and educators by providing developmental support combined with intellectual rigor.

Conference Highlights:

    • Gain actionable insights from experienced case authors and researchers through structured roundtable conversations
    • Participate in interactive workshops and discussions tailored to your growth as a case writer.
    • Network and socialize with colleagues and friends from other institutions.
    • Participate in our CASE Hackathon session to learn the basics of case writing and develop your own teaching case.

Types of Cases to Submit:

1.     Embryo Cases - If you have a compelling case idea in its infancy, share a one-page outline using our Embryo form on the CASE Association website. Include a list of questions and developmental challenges you are facing. Prepare to receive targeted feedback to guide you on your case development journey. Kindly note that each participant can submit only one embryo case.

2.  Cases without Instructor’s Manual - Is your case in the developmental phase? You will be assigned to a roundtable providing comprehensive feedback on various aspects of your case, including guidance on creating an effective instructor’s manual.

3.     Cases with Instructor’s ManualHave you finalized your teaching case and its instructor’s manual? Benefit from insightful feedback to refine your work and prepare it for publication submission. Completed cases with instructor’s manuals will be considered for the annual best case award announced at the breakfast ceremony on the final day of the conference.

Compact cases are also welcome in any of these above submission types.

  1. Join our CASE Hackathon!

Whether you are a seasoned case writer or just getting started, we invite you to join our hands-on hackathon sessions. Across a series of sessions, you will learn the essential elements of a teaching case, how to prepare your case for publication, and the elements to include in a strong instructor's manual to enhance the utility of your case in the classroom. By the end of the day, you will have a solid draft structure for both the case and the instructor's manual, along with actionable insights to move your case towards publication. You will also have opportunities to connect with other case writers and collaborate. You may even find your next case coauthor! Come ready to write, collaborate, and leave with real progress on a case you can use or publish.
